"Hey guys it's Dibbles!" - Taylor Swift
HEY GUYSS!!! My name is Natalie, and I am one of your freshman representatives for this year! I'm so excited to be a part of this new community and hope to bring even more spirit to Key Club! Some things that you might want to know about me are that I am a major Swiftie and I love animals. I only ever listen to Taylor Swift, my Instagram feed is basically only Taylor Swift, and in case anyone was wondering I am 100% a folklore girly because every single song on folklore is a LYRICAL MASTERPIECE!!! I've dressed up like Taylor for spirit weeks, have already gone to see the TS Eras Tour movie, and am planning on buying her merch. I've also loved animals, specifically dogs, ever since I was little, and I can confidently name at least 30 dog breeds in one minute. Despite that, I have a turtle named Buddy who's basically a glorified pet rock and have had him for over half of my life. In my free time, I crochet, like to paint, and am constantly getting bullied by my ten year-old brother. Some other fun facts about me are that I LOVE watching Disney princess movies, have a record of dressing up in ridiculously funny outfits, and I'm really good at word hunt. I'm so grateful to be one of Key Club's freshman reps and am looking forward to my term !!! |

A key club story:
Allow me to explain a story of one of the craziest days of my life. It was a lovely summer day. The birds were chirping, the grass smelled freshly mowed, and I was taking an unassuming stroll in the park. I was completely minding my own business while eating some PIZZA when I was rudely interrupted by a 5 year-old boy holding a POTATO.
He ran up to me, exclaiming, "I'm warning you now, young soul! The almighty one is coming, the WIFE of all wives, the leader of all leaders, the bee of all-"
"Okay I get it! I get it! This person is important. Now who specifically are you talking about???" I asked him, severely confused. If I had absolutely anything else to do that day, I definitely would've ignored the boy and went about my day. Unfortunately, though, I had nowhere else to be, so I figured I could have some fun and talk to this 5 year-old that was probably losing his mind.
"Oh, you must be confused if you are thinking this is a person that I am talking about. No one person can be as powerful as...as B-b-b...oh I just cannot say her name," he said.
"Spit it out, or else I'm leaving!" I warned him.
"Fine, her name is Betty the HEDGEHOG!"
A hedgehog?? Seriously??? I stood here talking to this boy for a solid two minutes just for him to tell me that he was afraid of some hedgehog, probably one that he saw at a pet store. Before I could respond and tell him how foolish he was or ask where his parents were, the ground began to shake. I fell down onto the crusty, DIRT path as the floor began to crumble beneath me and a giant mound began to form in the middle of the park. Within seconds, a giant mother hedgehog came erupting out of the ground wearing blue and yellow attire that said "PIEDMONT HILLS KEY CLUB" on it.
"It was you wasn't it? The one that dared to say my name?" the hedgehog asked while pointing at the little boy beside me.
"No, your Highness, I would never!" he exclaimed, shaking in fear.
"No, Betty. It was I who called your name! Yes, definitely. It was definitely me who screamed Betty the Hedgehog at a park at 1 pm in the afternoon," I told her. I was never good at lying. "Aha, then you will be the perfect addition. Welcome, young soul, for you are invited to join Piedmont Hills Key Club as a faithful member while following our 4 CORE VALUES," the hedgehog said, still towering over us. Scared, I nodded and that, kids, is how I became a Key Club member. I didn't know then that Key Club would be so much fun and really a great way to form a community while helping other communities! Despite the quite unexpected invitation, I have grown to love Key Club and it isn't nearly as scary as the giant mother hedgehog that invited me to join!!
